Filmed in Hawaii, Kanye releases a few still shots on his blog from his "AMAZING" video featuring Young Jeezy. The video was directed by Hype Williams. Here's some stills to hold on to until the video drops!
Here are all the performances from Kanye's VH1's Storytellers, which aired last night. His commentary was well put and much needed in this live performance. The whole show was worth the watch. It sort of put me in the mind frame of the MTV's 'Lauryn Hill Unplugged' disc, which was very moving. I'm such a fan of live music, this makes me appreication 808's and Heartbreaks on a totally different level.
Amber Rose and Kanye West have been spotted all around fashion week in New York. Everyone is wondering if this is Ye's publicity piece, or new love interest??? What ever the case, Kanye, I'm feeling this look on your shoulder, keep her around.
Recently Kanye West spoke on the Chris Brown smackdown situation with Ryan Seacrest saying :
“I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do anything and everything to help her in any situation,” he said during “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” on 102.7 KIIS-FM. “I was completely devastated by the concept of what I heard.”
Kanye said he didn't find out about the incedent until moments before his performance at the Grammy's.
“I was at the beginning of the ‘American Boy’ performance [with Estelle] when I really heard, when it kind of got cleared up, of what might have happened, and I was doing ‘American Boy’ and I was completely devastated during the performance,” he shared.
“I feel like, just as a person I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald’s that should never happen, it should never come to that, to that place,” he said.
Being a big fan of Rihanna, Kanye says this:
“Rihanna is so important to our culture … to pop music,” he declared. “I feel like she is the most important artist in music and has the most potential. Her taste level and her age … she has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time.”
Due to the beatdown, Chris Brown's, "Got Milk" ads will be ending this week , and his Double Mint endorsement is being suspended.
"I'm gonna tell you something about the Paris pic. They was like, some of the people dressed in the outfits, I didn't check out everybody's outfit that hopped in the picture with me — I can't be completely responsible. You go right into my outfit, my outfit is good. And see, like the [Fonzworth] Bentley video, "Everybody," there was people calling me before we dropped it, like "Man y'all shouldn't put that out with y'all dancing, man. People gonna say y'all gay!" And another thing is, people are so gay-conscious now. That's like the whole thing like with the Internet — every day [is like], "Oh I can tell he gay now!" But back in the day, people used to have songs like "Get In That A--" or something like that. Someone would never make a song like that [today] because they'd be like "Whoa! I can't make no song like that! People gonna call me gay!" - Mr. West
I don't feel Kayne should have to explain himself on this matter all the time, but when he does, it's always quite intresting to hear what he has to say...
“Due to what has happened so severely when the red shoes hit the runway, I was forced to change my name to Martin Louis the King, jr. Address me as such.” –Kanye West
In a new interview, Kanye confesses that ummm....he is bisexual?
“I know people will find that as another thing to hate me on, but fuck it. I’m open to doing porn. Hell, I’ll even do bisexual scenes - myself, another man and a woman, or just me and two women. I know people will find that as some weird shit, but I am who I am.” - Kanye
Ye is getting really comfortable with himself these days....
Unlike many, I can appreciate Kanye's effort on 808's and Heartbreak. He continues to show that he isn't just your average producer-turned-rapper, but a step above. With this album, which was misunderstood by many, is definitely on some Beatle ish! It's not a rap album, he is not on that hip hop tip, because as you can see, hip hop songs in the current state won't be around 10 years from now. 808's and Heartbreak is timeless, it's everlasting! Well done ye! You deserve all the success of this album!
Entertainers are constantly being pushed to expand upon their talents and skills to keep up with their competition. Live performances provide music fans with a great way to ascertain the talents of our artists: although many performers can entertain us through a CD, only a few can actually entertain us live. Below, you will find a list of eight of the best performances (in chronological order) that we saw in 2008. Before you go any further, keep in mind that the man is doing everything that he can to keep us from watching videos on YouTube. So if your favorite performance is not up here, it might simply be because we couldn't find a link to it.
