Tyler Perry Sued Over 'The Goodness Of Jesus'

According to reports from TMZ: "A suit, filed by the personal representative of deceased gospel singer/songwriter Bertha James, claims Perry lifted an entire verse from a song James wrote in 1950: "When I Think of the Goodness of Jesus."

The suit claims Perry used the verse in a scene from Madea Goes To Jail, "incorporating the entire chorus in a monologue delivered by 'Madea' referencing her deliverance from a jail sentence in the court scene with 'Judge Mabeline.'"

Bertha's estate, which is also suing Lionsgate Entertainment, wants unspecified damages for copyright infringement. GTHOH!

Funny thing is (IMO) Taylor Swift lucked up with this whole incident; now people outside of country music know who she is, which has enlarged her fan base and gained her more P.R than she could've ever paid for! #ImJusSayinTho.... right?
