My new thing is Boxing

Well tomorrow I start Boxing. Why you ask?... Well I am 25yrs old and I am not getting any younger. I am fine right now (in my eyes), but I believe I can be finer lol. The older you get the more you want to stay looking the same or improving. I never want to say “I use to be fine”. I have been on the sea food diet for some months now (I see food and I eat it LOL). Like my man Obama says its “time for a change"!!! I found a flyer promoting a boxing gym with a weight loss and fitness program. This seemed right up my ally. I would rather learn a skill while exercising then just working out. I know boxing is a a workout, but at least if I give up on boxing over time, I would have learned how to kick someone’s ass with some kind of professional skill. The owner and trainers name is Yahya Mcglain (www.absolootboxingandfitness.com).Well, Yahya is a two time world heavyweight champion. Yahya also trained and spearheaded Laila Ali's entire boxing career at which some point they got married. They are not married any more. I have seen this guy; he looks like a mixture of Mr. T and a cast member of the movie 300. If he can’t get me in shape I might as well get in my bed, turn on “As The World Turns" and eat bonbons for the rest of my life. This is the plan Fam….Each week I will be updating the ya'll on my boxing endeavors along with what I eat for the week. Hopefully you guys can help me get though this with your support...and hopefully I can encourage some lazy butt like me to get up and get right. Pray for me please!! God knows I will need it from the looks of Yahya. If you have any healthy tips, let me know. I will make sure the Kiddunot fam hears about it.Yahya is located in downtown Atlanta , in a building that looks like a cross between the Michael Jackson Beat it video and all the Rocky movies. If you are on your get right plan like me, the KidduNot fam wants to know about your journey, so shoot me a email !! Farahallen@gamil.com

London

Hello Kidds,

I know that I have been gone for awhile, but the good news is that I have been doing a bit of traveling so I have something’s to tell to the fam. Well I have to let y'all know that London is the Sh*t!! The fashion, the nightlife, the people...and lets not forget the popping of champagne every where you went!! Needless to say….I had a ball!! If you ever get a chance to visit the UK please go to Harrods. Harrods is like the Queens Department store. It has every top shelf designer you can think of. They sip Moet and eat lobster, all while choosing between the Alexander McQueen dress the Jimmy Choo shoe or Sergio Rossi's newest hottest accessory. To call it a department store is a understatement! The place even has a grocery store. This is not your run of the mill Wal-Mart or Publix, this place has the freshest, most expansive food money can buy.

While I was at Harrods, guess who I ran into? The famous designer everyone puts in there songs. Yes, Giuseppe Zanotti. He was very cool. I can't lie if my friend Shari didn't point him out to me I would of passed him by. I met some new friend named Vince and Tony, they wanted to show me Chaps, some London street Fashion.

Unsung: Phyllis Hyman

Tonight, TV One celebrates the live Of the late-great Phyllis Hyman. Tv One is profiling the stars which stole our hearts in a new series, Unsung. Tonight they put their focus on Phyllis Hyman. Let me just tell, I'm in love with Phyllis Hyman. Her voice, still to this day, unmatched. The music she made, timeless. Her style, over the top-over the top. Phyllis' trademarks included fancy hats and large over-sized chandelier earrings. It's funny because I was just having a talk with WillyTee about people sleeping on Phyllis Hyman and not paying her her dues, nor giving her the respect she deserved....We were talking about doing a spotlight on her and everything....and now Tv One beats us to the punch with Unsung: Phyllis Hyman. Unsungis set to takes us behind the music as they go inside the live of Phyllis Hyman. This should be interesting. Were still going to spotlight this phenomenal singer, who sadly left us too early. Be sure to check the show tonight. You gotta check you local listing for times and all that shit, lol....Just know it comes on TONIGHT!

And just in case you don't know who she is and your still trying to figure out...

Beyonce -Roc

"Roc", an unreleased track from Beyonce ,a leftover from her I Am&Sasha Fierce album, has made it's way to the internet. The track is rumored to be a tribute to her man, Jay-Z. I personally feel the song should have made the final cut, I think it fits the whole overall vibe of the album.

In related news, Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles-Carter might be taking the stage to perform at the inauguration event for President-elect Barack Obama in January.

Styles P. Not Fond Of The Trendy Word "Swag"

“What did I hate about ‘08? The abuse of the fucking word ‘swagger,’" Styles P confessed to XXLmag.com. Annoyed by the use of the slang term, Styles continued, “I don’t fucking know when so many people starting using this word… Jesus Christ! Just let it go a little bit. Lean off of it a little bit. I mean, ain’t nothing wrong with having style, swag and all of that. I think all the guys are starting to be so focused on the look and the way they are so much, that it almost make them like girls.”

Brawl Breaks Out @ The Dirty Awards Monday Night: Grand Hustle vs. Shawty Lo

Radio One’s fourth annual Dirty Awards ended abruptly [Monday night] when two separate altercations erupted reportedly between rapper Shawty Lo and members of the Grand Hustle camp tonight (November 24).An eye witness told sources that the tension between the two crews mounted during Shawty Lo’s performance, which included a diss version of Grand Hustle artist Yung LA’s song “Ain’t I.” As Lo performed his version with a chorus “Don’t I,” an audience member identified by an eyewitness as Capitol recording artist Alfamega, allegedly threw a chair onto the stage.
At that point, witnesses say another artist signed to the T.I.-helmed label stormed the stage, at which point authorities proceeded to break a fight. T.I. himself took the stage shortly after the fight to accept an award following, a reported private conversation with Shawty-Lo, in which the Grammy Award-winning rapper/actor allegedly insisted once again, that the two end their long-running beef. He proceeded to denounce the violence and negativity and assured the Dirty Awards audience that he did not condone the fighting.

Shortly thereafter, however, a second fight broke out as T.I. performed his verse from “Ain’t I,” allegedly substituting some lyrics with verbal jabs at Shawty Lo, with whom he has had an unpleasant relationship throughout the year. Towards the end of the performance, another member of the Grand Hustle camp allegedly jumped off stage and assaulted a man witnesses said was Shawty Lo’s brother. Police officers then halted the awards show, using pepper spray to end the fight. While the Dirty Awards audience was immediately evacuated, witnesses say other altercations may have occurred outside of the event. (as reported by DrewRepotrs.com)

FREE AT LAST: John Forte to be released from prison Dec.22nd!!

John Forté (born January 30, 1975) is a rapper and producer. Forté began his professional music career when he was introduced to The Fugees by Lauryn Hill in the early 1990s. He co-wrote and produced two songs on their multi-platinum and Grammy-winning 1996 album, The Score.

After the group broke up in 1997, Forté released his debut solo album, Poly Sci in 1998, which was produced by Wyclef Jean. The album sold 79,000 copies, a disappointment blamed in part on the fact that "the record's project manager quit Sony a week before the album was released, and Epic put little cash behind its promotional tour."

In 2000, Forté was arrested at Newark International Airport after accepting a briefcase containing $1.4 million worth of liquid cocaine; he was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy to distribute. He was convicted and sentenced to the mandatory minimum 14 years after being found guilty, and incarcerated at FCI Loretto, a low-security federal prison in central Pennsylvania.

Carly Simon and her son Ben Taylor have been advocates on Forte's behalf, believing he did not receive a fair trial, fought for an appeal of the mandatory minimum drug laws that remove a judge’s discretion in a case; they met Forté through Taylor's cousin who was a classmate of Forté's at Phillips Exeter.

On November 24, 2008, Forté's prison sentence was commuted by President George W. Bush. He will be released on December 22nd after serving over seven years of the original 14 year sentence.

Lil Cease Hits Up MTV

This afternoon, Lil’ Cease and friends DJ Mazi O and Rich Nice dropped by the newsroom to visit Sway. Being a big fan of Cease’s style on Lil’ Kim’s debut album, Hard Core, I couldn’t help but take the opportunity to snap a photo.

After our impromptu photo shoot, Cease shared some info with us about his latest project, “Hard Body Fitness,” a series of unconventional fitness videos directed by Mazi O that are available on YouTube and a DVD soon to be released on HardBodyMusicGroup.com.

The rapper describes the videos as ” ‘hood official,” featuring techniques similar to calisthenics with a street perspective. Lil’ Cease and surprise guests demonstrate routines that can be done anywhere — from the gym to right on your block.

When asked what makes these videos different from other workout series, director Mazi O grinned, “You just have to check out the trailer.”

A quick search on YouTube revealed a clip dated November 4 that features Cease with Cardan and Havoc from Mobb Deep. In the video, Lil’ Cease is in a gym pumping some serious iron. It all seems like your average workout session until 1:31 into the clip, when Cease straps two huge car rims to his waist and does some pull-ups. Ouch! But it looked effective. Check it out for yourself.

Eminem in M&M's?

Ripley's Believe It Or Not! has acquired a portrait of Eminem made entirely out of M&M's candy. The portrait, made out of more than 1,000 individual peices, was made by Florida resident Enrique Ramos who used over 8 pounds of chocolate to capture Marshall Mathers in a 40"x30" piece. “Our customers have a pretty good eye for art. They won’t be disappointed by Eminem in M&M’s,” Tim O’Brien, VP of Communications for Ripley’s Believe It or Not! said, “This thing looks good enough to eat.” The Eminem, M&M, portrait will hang along side other weird art pieces like the picture of Princess Diana made from lint and a shot of Micheal Jackson made from gumballs. Ramos has also crafted other unusual works of art, including a replicate portrait of by Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, which he painted on the back of a cockroach. WTF?!

On the Street: In Layers

Alright you guys, winter is around the corner and it's time to layer in style. What I hate more than anything in the winter, is to see a guy/girl bundled up in tacky layers. When it comes to layering, my philosophy is "Be stylish." This is your time to shine! It all starts with the guy in your head, at lease that's what I like to believe. For starters, know the style you would like to achieve, don’t just throw on anything. If its a look that came out of a fashion mag, fine...own it! Make it your own look. If you don't know where to start, always start with a scarf or shawl and make sure it's applied properly. Ya'll know how I am about my scarves! If your stuck on finding a color, just remember bright scarves work well with more subdued outfits. Next, your gonna bring in a nice cardigan or sweater of some sort, to tie into your look. If it's calling for more than that, throw a jacket of your choice over the already layered ensemble to complete the look. Make sure the jacket is in style and make sure it compliments what your going for. Don't be late!

The layered-look I went for in the photo below was the "so uncomplicated and fresh" look. This was achieved by working around my scarf and grabbing pieces that complimented the look that I was going for.

The outfit: Cardigan -H&M, Gray t-Shirt -Marc Jacobs, Scarf- Urban Outfitters, Tan Coat -Zara

See, it ain't calling for much....

Send in some pictures of your best layered look and I'll post it here on KidduNot!

Baby's Younger Brother Terrance "Gangsta" Williams Blogs While Serving LIFE

Okay I'm one of those cats who considers himself to be well educated as far as the "who's who's" in Hip-Hop circles, cliques, extended family etc. And I vaguely remember reading about this cat but I wasn't FULLY aware of the fact that Baby & Slim of Cash Money Records have a younger brother Terrance "Gangsta" Williams who is serving a life sentence for drug trafficing(selling Heroin). Gangsta now has a blog that is being managed by Hip-Hop Activist Wendy Day of The Rap Coalition who posts his blog entries. Here is one I ran across that will give you an introduction of Terrance "Gangsta" Williams. I'll also be keeping tabs on his blogs and bringing you the best of his entries.

The Street Life

Whiiii! What's poppin fam's? Yeah, I address you as fam's because you're street people like I was. Anybody that's getting money or bustin his gun, is my street fam.... the real recognize real.

Picture this fam.... I was laying back in the three man cell I was assigned to, which is too small for two people.. Anyways, I had the radio on and Lil Wayne's "Milli" song came on. All I could do was smile. I remember when the lil homie was in the studio back in 97'. He had a mini afro back then and he was writing a rap to go on the "Hot Boys" album, a name that I gave my brother to name the group... The Hot Boys name came from some real street Gangster's Dooney, sterling, Mosquito and me. All three are dead now. "No we didn't bust raps we busts caps!!!"

I remember when Cash Money used to rent one raggedy bus to ride out of town to do concerts. I would be right there some of the times. Two guns and my bulletproof vest. While the C.M.R. Crew were entertaining people, I was hooking up heroin deals. The game was good to me. Well at least that's what we think, just because we are getting money, women are crazy about us, we riding in nice cars, wearing expensive jewlry, stacking money, busting our guns or paying someone to do it for us... the drug life is the life we all love until the Feds catch us. I know that's how I feel after ten years and four months in prison serving a life sentence.

Don't trip homie, the people haven't caught you yet so ball til you fall. But do you ever stop and think, that you are putting your family at risk? I know I didn't. And that's what led my mother to be shot. Actually the shooters were trying to kill my lil brother because they couldn't catch me. I know you may be thinking that you are too smooth to get caught slipping. "Oh yeah," well I thought that too.

I was shot in the left foot in 1991 while on the run from juvenile because I had escaped. I was stabbed in June of 1994, my lungs collapsed a month later. I was shot and lost a piece of my bladder and had to walk around with a colostomy bag on-- aka DooDoo bag for 23 months. The last time I was shot was in 1996, one of the bullets came out the front of my chest.

I played all the slick and kind roles in the game to deceive a person. Look at the picture of me holding my daughter. At that time I was attending Delgado Community College. By then, I had been arrested for Murder six times and plead guilty to Attempted Murder in 1993.

If you look at the picture that I'm eating the cookie ice cream you'll see I didn't have a mustache and my eyebrows are gone. That's because I had to dress like a woman to get to my victim. At that time I was young, so all the games you think is new, people before me has done and so on... The main thing that I trip off is we believe the world is ours while we are balling, but when we go to jail we call any and everybody to make bond or get us a lawyer.

Then we have the nerve to get mad at our woman when she leaves us once we get time. When you were free you came home when you got ready. You slept with any woman that let you. Yes indeed... I know you maybe thinking he just saying all this because he got caught. Yeah well, I'm doing enough time for everybody! And you still have a chance to get your life together. Even the ones that are thinking about selling drugs, trust me homie... it's a waste of time.

When you feel that you have to have those nice tennis shoes: Prada, Gucci, Polo, etc... or that you have to eat... so you say. Think about the people in Africa that don't have nothing. And most of all think about me. On June 24, 1999 the Judge sentenced me to LIFE plus 240 years! On March 6, 2002, the Judge re-sentenced me again to LIFE this time running the 20 years with the life...

Say no to drugs, stop the violence
and be aware of HIV and AIDS...

Be on the lookout for my upcoming novel "The Otherside of Bourban Street."
