R.I.P: Beatrice "Bea" Arthur (May 13, 1922 - April 25, 2009)

Legendary actress Bea Arthur passed away on Saturday April 25, 2009 at her home in Los Angeles, CA. Arthur is probably most known by younger generations as the hilarious Dorothy from the Golden Girls. However, she actually had a career that spanned for almost seventy years.

I'm definitely going to miss seeing this woman on television. Bea Arthur came out when all entertainers could sing, dance, and act. Even as a comedienne and a Broadway star, she found success. Her most recent critical acclaim came in 2002 when she returned to the stage starring in Bea Arthur on Broadway: Just Between Friends, a collection of stories and songs (with musician Billy Goldenberg) based on her life and career. The show was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event.

She will definitely be missed

R.I.P. Mc Breed

Sad news KidduNot, I just got word that Michigan rapper MC Breed has died at the age of 36. He was hospitalized in Atlanta, early September after suffering from a sudden kidney failure, while playing a game of pick-up basketball, and was in need of a kidney transplant. The old school rapper was most notable for his collaborations with 2Pac(“Gotta Get Mine"), and Too Short. Breed’s biggest single to date “Ain’t No Future in Yo Frontin',” reached number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100.
