I haven't been hearing Lil Wayne or T-Pain talking about the "T-Wayne" album lately so I pretty much did away with the thought that this album was actually coming out. But this vid has me hungry for the album again...Check out Wayne and Pain performing "He Rap, He Sang" PressPlay
Dropping March 24th, Busta's latest project, Back On My Bullshit so far we've heard nothing but hits. A few years ago, he was at a point where I felt he didn't have "it" anymore. Well my friends, I hate to say, but he has proven me wrong. On his latest cut, "Hustler Anthem 2009" Busta Rhymes is accompanied by none other than T-Pain. While some are tired of hearing Pain on everybody's joint, I'm sorta please by the outcome!
T-Pain felt unwelcome when he joined Plies on stage to perform "Shawty" unannounced. Pain says Plies is disrespectful. Plies explains his stance on the "rumored" beef between he and T-Pain.
Q-Tip speaks about the whole auto-tune explosion and why "it's wack" in an Exclusive Interview with SOHH.com. Personally I think anybody doing it after T-Pain is biting, although Roger Troutman of Zapp made it famous T-Pain bought back to the forefront for the new generation. Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Ron Browz and Snoop Dogg are some of the most notable artists to use/abuse the Auto-Tune effect. I give T.I. credit for his performance on "Whatever You Like" because he could have easily pressed the button to jump on the Auto-Tune bandwagon but he decided to go left. My theory is this, using it for a song here or there is not THAT bad but when you got people like Ron Browz and Kanye West doing WHOLE ALBUMS using the effect that's a lil too much. As much as I like song like "Heartless" by Kanye & "Pop Champagne" by Browz that's just my take on this topic. Check out the vid below to here Q-Tip's thoughts on this...
